    3. Fred: The only family I could find in my records with the last name Rigdon is: Jennifer Dawne "Jenny" Horne b. June 1960 married Robert Olen RIGDON b. July 15,1985. Jenny's mother is Annis Ray Huffman b. Sept. 22,1937 and her father is Neal Horne b. Oct.21,1928. They have two children: Heather Dawn RIGDON b.July15,1985 and Ross Clay RIGDON b.Sept. 5, 1992. Now for the one's that have Rigdon for the first name: Rigdon WHALEY Sr. b.1770 d.1860 m. Rebecca ? b.1785 (both in Duplin Co.) Rigdon Whaley served in the war of 1812 from Onslow Co. N.C. Rigdon WHALEY Jr. b. 1825 d.1862 married Sylvia Jean Sandlin b. 1825 d. after1880 Rigdon Daniel WHALEY b.1843 d.1910 (Rigdon was retarded and never married) Rigdon JARMAN b. July 1843 d.Nov. 15, 1919 married Debra "Debby" Hammonds b.Aug. 24, 1847 d.Aug. 4, 1926 son of Elizabeth Ann Whaley b.1822 d.Aug. 28,1860 m. Feb. 6,1843, to Jeremiah "Jerry" Jarman b. Jan.20,1817 d. July 27, 1899. Rigdon was a private in the Confederate States Army/captured by Union Troops near Ft.Fisher in Jan.1865. This was a few days after the famous battle that broke up Confederate Blockade running in the Ft. Fisher/Willimgton N.C. area. He was held by the Union Troops about 5 weeks/ paroled at the end of Feb. 1865 - Buried: Rigdon Jarman Cem. HWY 258 Taylor town Onslow Co. N.C. Wolf: Did not find Martha Ann Whaley... only thing I found remotely connected is: Ellen "Elander" Sandlin b. about 1831 d. before 1870 m. about 1856 to Fred Whaley b. about 1830 1. Margaret A.
