I am the granddaughter of Walter Mathis who was born in Rose Hill, NC. Duplin County. He had two aunts named Rhodia and Mattie (Matt) who raise he and his sister. Hattie. Walter move to Sampson County where he worked as a logger and met and Married Lottie Mclamb and they later move to Wayne county, Goldsboro. NC. He had a sister named Hattie, she married Abe, they had 4 children: Abe, Jr., Thomas, Martha and Edna. I trying to find that part of his family, also.
