Jason, I noticed your reference to the Green family in Duplin County. I have been trying to find the origin of my William Green, b ca 1745, supposedly in NC. He had a son, Reubin Green, born ca 1768. Duplin county has been suggested. I have seen several land transactions with Reubin and William Green listed on them. No other clues have been found other than these deed and land contracts. William later settled in Barnwell District, SC. His fist son, was Absolom, ba ca 1764, in NC. William's sister was thought to be an Elizabeth Green who married an Andrew Bates.
