She would probably not have a Bible but someone else might. >> What Martha said as an example is very true, when i first started my search, of the Grimes family, i was stuck at 1860, for my Charlotte , no Grimes listed in 1850 that had her as a daughter, (according to the index) well one day i was just searching Dale Co., Al to see who was in the neighberhood of my Reynolds and a few pages over, there is a STEPHEN Grimes, i felt like i had won the lottery :-), in the index it had Stephen GRIM'S, but anyway, Hugh Grimes from La. met with my 2nd cousin in Ozark ,she sent him to me and he had a letter that connected my Stephen, with his line and the line of the Coffee Co., Al line. another 2nd cousin had told me when i started my search that he was told we were not kin to the Coffee Co., Grimes. He had said growing up they were Kin but once they were grown he was told they weren't kin :-), so you can see how even the family members are wrong, But the LETTER proved they were kin, they were together in Stewart Co.,Ga. So the migration route for some of the Grimes from Duplin Co ca1830's were from Duplin, had to come through S.C. some may have stayed and other moved on to Ga, than to Al,La, Fa, 1850's 3 of the Grimes family left Coffee Co and went to Tx. a cousin Jesse had left from Wash. Co.,Al and went to Tx in ca1828. But like Martha said if others don't put in what they have, and share, than there is others that may never find the info needed to connect .WHAT may be miner to you, could be major info to others :-).
