    3. List, As much as I appreciate Dee's enthusiasm, I fail to understand the rationale for forwarding J. J. Franks e-mail to the List. From the addresses, it appears the mail was sent to Dee privately, as it should have been. But, regardless of how it came to be on the List, it's here. I for one, appreciate J. J. Franks' concern over this issue and applaude the fact that she addressed it privately. I certainly hope J J Franks received a private reply in addition to her letter being broadcast on a Mailing List, where it obviously has no place being. I've met many serious researchers from this list and have contacted, and been contacted privately, to discuss certain families and information more thoroughly. The Lists are valuable tools and can provide a wealth of information when used correctly. Unfortuantely, this one appears to be on it's way to becoming a battlefield for those with differing views, and I, for one, have more productive ways to spend my limited research time. My thanks to those who've shared information with me in the past and have contacted me seeking more information. It's been a pleasure and I hope you'll continue to write. I'm unsubscribing to the Duplin List, but will be always be avaiable to those who wish to pursue serious genealogical research. Sincerely, Chris Swinson
