Speaking of indexes....does anyone have a 1870 Duplin index and willing to look and see if John S. Thompson and wife Rachel are listed. Children were Sarah, James L., Franklin, and Henry. They were in Onslow in 1860 and not there in 1870. I know they came back because Henry married and raised a family in Onslow.
