    3. I am trying to up date my Revolutionary War files. Does everyone know that Three Grimes brothers served from Duplin in the Rev. War? Can you add to my information on the families? GRIMES, James, Private, Duplin N.C. Militia Soldier was born c1755 and was the son of Hugh Grimes and married Sarah Winders (1759), they married February 19, 1777. James was the younger brother of Sampson and Joseph Grimes. GRIMES, Joseph, Lieutenant Duplin N.C. Militia Lieutenant of Duplin County, served under Colonel James Kenan in 1779. Joseph married Ellender _______, he died in January of 1790. Sons: Charles Grimes, John Grimes, Joseph Grimes, James Grimes, and Thomas Grimes. Wife was pregnant when Joseph died.
