Will do look-ups in Passorts of SoutheasternPioneers 1770-1823 The goverment was careful about what people they would allow to cross Indian land and attempted to keep anyone out who might cause trouble. It includes, people passing into what was Indian territory, Spanish passports in Mississippi Valley and passports to, Orleans, Georgia, Louisianna Territory,and Tennessee. There are about 5 from NC, however, some may have started in NC, gone to Georgia or Tennessee in search of land and on to Alabama. Peggee Nelson peggeenel@aol.com .
