Can anyone tell me more about William Pridgen, who was born June 6, 1732 in Halifax Co., NC, married Sarah Elizabeth Taylor, and had the following children: Mary, Sarah, Thomas, Francis, Hannah, Elizabeth, Nathan, and William? He had lived to be well over 100 years old, served in the Revolutionary War from Duplin Co., and eventually moved to Bladen Co., where he applied for his war pension. What I need to know is which children moved to Georgia and Alabama. My husband's relative is George Washington Pridgen of Coffee Co., GA (1832-1918) and his father was William Pridgen (born 1802, NC), who married Mary Elizabeth Merritt. I'm thinking that maybe William the old man was William the younger's grandfather. Does anyone know the link here? Thanks so much, Debbie Wooten
