For those of you researching the Swaney/Thomas line: Came across a gift deed today. Charles G Thomas was giving land to his children. In the one that gave property to his daughter Glendora, her name on the document is Glenn Dora. I realize the documents were not written by Charles, but he could read and write, so he I'm sure he specified that it was 2 names, not one. This is backed up by my great uncle. He, also has stated that her name is definitely NOT Glendora, but is Glenn Dora. Glenn Dora Thomas b1866 in Duplin Co. was married to Alfred Swaney b1840 in Randolph Co. Dec 17, 1890. Yes, she was 24 and he was 49. Judy
