I am searching for the predecessors of my gr gr gr grandfather, Mitchell WATKINS (b. between 1740 and 1750. He and his two brothers Levin and Peter WATKINS probably descended from one of the three brothers of the same names who are said to have emigrated from Wales in the 17th century. My gr gr gr grandfather Mitchell Watkins and his brothers lived in Edgecombe and Duplin Counties in North Carolina. Mitchell was a Revolutionary soldier under the command of General Green. Peter and Mitchell left North Carolina for Kentucky and Georgia respectfully around 1801 or 1802. Levin stayed in Duplin County, N. C., where he served in the North Carolina State Legislature. Does anyone have information on the parentage of these three North Carolina brothers? Thanks, Oliver -
