Trying to locate GARNER in Duplin County in approx. 1780 to early 1820s -- believe Our ggggrandfather William SCARBOROUGH married a GARNER approx. 1786 and had a son MILES SCARBOROUGH. We assume she died and William left son MILES in his in-law's care. He traveled on to Montgomery County, NC in 1792. There is a letter to William from his brother in Greene County, NC states "ole Mother Garner is dead" He should come and get his son Miles. Thanking you in advance for any help Joanna Long Scarboro
