Hi, Does anyone know of any African-American Hicks of Duplin County, NC in the 1800's-1900's? My gr-gr-grandfather is Henry Hicks who was born in NC according to the census but ended up in Arkansas. Does anyone know of any Hicks slaveowners of Duplin County, NC? Henry would have been born a slave and I'm trying to find out where in NC he may have come from.
