Hi All, i forgot to send this to the NC sites, as the site manager once said there is 200+ list members on the Duplin Co site so maybe they would like to see this also, and later i will have more Kornegay/ Grimes Questions :-). CGT Subj: Re: [KORNEGAY-L] Kornegay Date: 9/2/99 To: KORNEGAY-L@rootsweb.com In a message dated 9/1/99 11:30:33 PM Eastern Daylight Time, SUEMEINHRT@aol.com writes: << have Pearsis Herring as the daughter of Stephen Herring and Sarah Bright, dau of William Bright and a wife, Anne _____.(Where did you find the wife's name??) and do you by chance have info on this line other than Ann and Sarah,I have Wm's Will and he does not mention sons ,just sons-in laws Stephen Herring(not spelled that way) and John Winders)Will written 1762) I have Pearsis' sister, Sarah Ann "Sally" Herring as the wife of Maj Daniel Glisson, so again the parents are Stephen Herring and Sarah Bright for Sally. Mehathaney "Hetty" Glisson is a dau of Maj. Daniel Glisson and Sarah Anne "Sally" Herring. In the Herring Highlightsll it has as the parents Pearsis Herring and Abraham ? Glisson, and some one very knowledgeable in the Herring line( you mention Abraham below, so i take the above a mistake :-) like i made yesterday my mind was ahead of my fingers :-). Thank you all so much for helping me with this. Stephen & Sarah Bright Herring are her grandparents. I don't have the parents for Abraham Glisson yet. I do have a John Glisson with no wife named as parents for Maj. Daniel Glisson. Someone else sent me some info from the IGI site that has Pearsis m to Daniel Glisson b7/12/1757 son of Capt John W Glisson & Mrs Jean Glisson and here again the very knowledgeable person said this info is wrong and i trust this person very much. I use to take what i found in theIGI as gospel (the truth until i found where they had Matilda Grimes as the stepdau of Bethany Hines Grimes wife of Stephen, 1820 census had only one child in hh and that was a boy Henry B .since than i have tried to check and double check. i have only been doing this since '95' and i still have a lot to learn:-) Thank you all again for helping. Hope this helps. Anyone! If this is not right, please respond. Sue in CA Good luck to all Christine GT
