I am quite concerned about the Florence NC area. I know it has nothing to do with the Duplin area...but I'm sure we have people in that area that can tell me how Florence made out in the storm. I have heard reports....but not given the area...that coffins were actually floating in the river streams. One part of my family has an old grave site in Florence off a river and my Mother & I are concerned. We are planning a genealogical trip to NC the first week in October and plan to go to the area...but if there is a problem I might not want to take her there. She would get quite upset. If anyone has information about the Florence area...please help. I know Dennis & Floyd visited this area.
