Hi All, we had a thing going on the Strouds, yesterday , i came across this in the Duplin Co Cemetery book, Lemuel Stroud 6/3/1852- 7/6/1925 wife Charity E 5/12/1859- 4/20/1886. buried Barfield Cem. Still trying to find info on Lott Stroud that m Nancy Grimes, she was b ca 1780 in Duplin co. found this in my papers may have had the info all along ,on page 26 of "A history of Muhlenberg County" by Otto A Rothert published 1913. Lott Stroud B2/8/1778 came to Muhlenberg Co.,Ky about the year 1800, and died 11/22/1824. He was the Father of 6 children: Mrs Fanny (Richard ) Morton , Reuben, Jesse, Asher, Mrs Edna M (Samuel M) Ross and Isaac Stroud. In the State Records of NC Vol XV, page 723, Lott Stroud #59 enlisted May 12, 1777 in the state milititia and served 3 years.
