OK, i will try to let you know what i have and where i got the info and maybe you can understand how i have what i have, as i have said before with people having the same names it not hard to be confused, <<<<Christine; I am been trying to sort out this Henry KORNEGAY stuff and the followiing is all I can offer at present. My orginal records had Henry (1787-af 1835) and Nancy (CARRAWAY) (1792/3- 10 Feb 1835) KORNEGAY as having 6 known children 1. Maria "Mary" KORNEGAY (28 Sep 1813 wayne Co NC- 7 Sep 1901 West Point, Clay Co MS bur Greenwood Cem) m. (1) 6 Jan 1831 Duplin Co NC to Steven K. BRYAN; M. (2) George Washington JUSTICE ca 1856 in MS. 2. Henry A. KORNEGAY b. 1815 Wayne Co NC; m. Elvy or Eliz. R.________ DO not have him in my data, the 1850 census has him on page 7b, age 38, wife Eliz R age? LUKE C age 14, james H age 12, Susan C age 9,Nancy A 6,Emily NG 4, Wm D.2. 3. William J. KORNEGAY b. 1817/20 Wayne Co NC; m. Spicy Jane GRIMES I do not have his parents Names in data,This was one of my Questions, but now i do right :-) 4. Wyatt Y. KORNEGAY (mine) (1820/21 Wayne Co NC- 1882 MS) m. Mary Anna---- ab 1838 NC; m. (2) Mrs. Frances (THOMAS) MADISON 14 Nov 1867 Oktibbeha Co MS Have seen this name but not in my data either 5. Luke KORNEGAY (1822-1888) Wayne Co NC; resided Seven Springs; m. Elizabeth GRIMES. I donot have my souce on this?? but i will recheck i have him as the son of Bryan W Kornegay(which i can always change but someone else has this info somewhere). 6. Susan KORNEGAY b. 1825 Wayne Co-d. unmarried in HH of Wm J & Spicy jane Kornegay 1850 census. Now some one came along with a Henry Carraway KORNEGAY b. 1830 and tried to I am not trying to replace anyone, I think if you look back over the post i ask who was his parents??? He Mary and others is buried in the Kornegay Cemetery(one of many :-) 1mile west of the junctionSR1306 &Sr1305. in the book it has Henry Caraway(1r) Kornegay 1830-1894. replace the Henry A. KORNEGAY b. 1812/1815 m. to Elvy or Eliz R with him or add him to Henry I. I don't know who Henry Carraway KORNEGAY who is said to have married Mary Elizabeth GRIMES is. Unless he could be the son of Henry A. KORNEGAY and Elvy or Eliz R. It has always been thought that Henry KORNEGAY I and Nancy (CARRAWAY) were married about 1812 so I rather doubt them having another son in 1830 and naming him Henry Carraway KORNEGAY but then anything is possible. I would like to get these families untangled.I would like to see them untangled also, if you will look back at the post of 9/11/1999 i think, where i sent what is on the Kornegay line site , where a Henry Robert Kornegay b 1809 m Jennette Williams, to me it looks like this is where the mix up came in, this is my feeling some may agree and some may disagree, i think someone put your Henry A there maybe???? but if you go there you will notice that it also has the other wives of Henry Robert Kornegay b5/26/1823 d 2/4/1898 this cemetery info i sent yesterdayor early this morning. Now as far as Henry Robert KORNEGAY and William B. KORNEGAY sons of George Fisher and Sarah (GLISSON) KORNEGAY. I beleive that you have that data all mixed up. As for the parents of Henry R, this was confirm by a Kornegay Digest that someone sent info on, and i also had found this info on the Oates section 5. of the Kornegay site. as for Wm B. this is in the Herring book and could also be on the Oates pages also, not sure :-). I have that Henry Robert KORNEGAY married 3 times That info was in the digest also.they have 8 children i was told.(1) to Jenette Williams 31 Oct 1844 and had 9 children with her; m. (2) Catherine OUTLAW b. 9 Mar 1846 d/o George and Hester (WHITFIELD) OUTLAW af 1868, I have no issue; m. (3) Josephine KOONCE and no issue for them. The children of Henry Robert and Jenette were: Mary A.G.; Robert Daniel; James Fisher; Arthur; Joseph F.; Charles J.; Sarah "Sallie" J.; Victoria J. and Wade Hampton KORNEGAY.(Do not have all the Children listed) I can give you some information on all of the above children. TheSarah GLISSON that we have married to George Fisher KORNEGAY is the d/o Daniel GLISSION not an Abraham GLISSON.the source i have has a Question ? by Abraham,but That is the name the Herring bk has, if could be a Daniel but which one??? Does anyone have the answer, some think that is the Daniel that was m to Sarah Herring dau of Stephen& Sarah Bright Herring, but this Sarah did not died until ca 1797 so until someone tells me different i am leaving it as Abraham with a ??mark. there was several Daniels HELP?? I have William Bryan KORNEGAY This info i have also came from the Oates section 5 bro of Henry Robert; married to Catherine GRADY so far only have two daus for them Catherine E. b. 1831 and Mary b. 1832. My records are subject to error but we discussed Henry Robert KORNEGAY I think we agree on that line a while back and I think this is what we came up with.
