    1. Byrd to Melba Golf Allen
    2. HI
    3. Linda, I think I have the Sarah Gibbs who married your Thomas Bennett. Her father was John Gibbs who married Sarah McRee in ?, and died in 1809. His will was witnessed by Thomas Bennett, and in his will he mentions his daughter Sarah Bennett. John Gibbs had sons, Charles and John, and daughters Susanna Burns, Tamzarine Rogers, Zilpha Jernigan, Sarah Bennett, Mary Bourden, and Charity Bourden. I don't know if Charity Bourden was a misprint or not, because she is mentioned elsewhere in his will as Charity Gibbs. Zilpha Jernigan was my gggg grandmother, who married Jesse Jernigan of Duplin Co., NC. Thought I would pass this along to you. regards, Kathy Mosley

    2. Terry & Linda Hortter
    3. Dear Melba: I have a John Byrd who married a Rebecca Bennett in Duplin Co., NO in 1799. This would have been about the right time for a son of Micheal's to be getting married. They moved to Muhlenberg Co., KY and he died about 1808 and she married a Spence Hynes/Hines and moved to McCracken Co., KY with John's 5 children, Nathan, John Jr., Anne, Polly & Sally. There is a will for him. There is a will on Rebecca's father Thomas Bennett who I believe had two wifes Ann Kennard and Sarah Gibbs. I have not done a great deal of research on these, but would like to. Hope this helps. You can email me at hortters@mindspring.com Linda (Story) Hortter
