    3. Does anyone have information about a Dr. Daniel Williams, MD of Duplin County ? I believe he would have been born around 1850 - 1870 time frame. I think he is buried at the Sand Hill Cemetery on Rt. 41 between Beulaville, NC and Potters Hill, NC. I am searching for any info about his ancestors, siblings, and descendants.     2. Joseph Grimes b ca 1770 d 11/5/1843 son of Joseph who was a son of Hugh Grimes of Duplin Co.,Nc. In the Archives at Raleigh, Nc , there is about 47 pages of papers on the estate of Joseph . Joseph and his wife Namoe raised six of their grandchildren, we have only found one known son for Joseph, his name was John Grimes b?? d before Jan 1849. Names of the Grandchildren; Spicey Jane m Wm J. Kornegay, Elizabeth m Luke Kornegay, Mary E m Henry Kornegay, Hezekiah m Margarett Kornegay, David m Mary Jones, Joseph W m Zilpha Loftin. The Father of the above Joseph d ca 1783, mention in his will was 5 sons and 1 dau that aws due after he made his will. the sons were Charles, John, Joseph, James and Thomas. Joseph's wife name was Elinder. It is believed that most of these sons went to SC. Does anyone have info on this family??? Christine GT.

Floyd 15 m labourer " There are no "Floyd"s listed in 1830, or 1840, there is a James Floyd listed in 1790. I have John E.     2. I feel that some of my people might have lived in the ISLAND CREEK area of Duplin. Can anyone elaborate on that area, and what families do we know lived there ? Martha Blake lived there. Wm.McCanne and son William lived there. Thomas Cummings and son James lived there. Was this the same place as JAMISONS OLD FIELD ? Pasture Branch ? I realize there were several Island Creeks. There is one near Topsail . There is also Island Branch mentioned in Onslow deeds. Carrie Rowe

Will do look-ups in Passorts of SoutheasternPioneers 1770-1823 The goverment was careful about what people they would allow to cross Indian land and attempted to keep anyone out who might cause trouble. It includes, people passing into what was Indian territory, Spanish passports in Mississippi Valley and passports to, Orleans, Georgia, Louisianna Territory,and Tennessee. I have found a James Brown in Duplin County. Born 1802. This one was a son of JESSE BROWN. I have this one a very long ways back. But nothing from him foreword.
