    3. Dianne, I am really trying to sort these Lane men out. Different researchers have them married to different or the same woman and I want to have mine correct but thus far can not say for sure, "this is it." Ms. Wood figures in this research because of the man she married but until I know which one it is , I am at a standstill . :) thanks, Emma ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike & Diane" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, December 07, 2006 10:39 AM Subject: Re: [NCDUPLIN] Wood family >I am also researching the Wood line from Duplin County. 3. Yes you can order the info straight from the archives but it will cost you a lot more than just ordering them from the ROD, nless you live in NC. Out of state residents will pay $20.00 for a copy versus $2.00 for in state residents, and you will only pay $1.00 through ROD. That is a big savings especially if you are ordering a lot of records. : ) Diane http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncduplin/duplin.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncnewhan/nh.htm http://www.tribalpages.com/tribes/garebel http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncpender/pender.htm -------Original Message------- From: [email protected] Date: 12/7/2006 6:56:35 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [NCDUPLIN] locating deeds In a message dated 12/6/2006 11:33:13 PM Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: > As for where the original deeds are located, you can find them on the Duplin > County Register of Deeds web site http://rod.duplincounty.org/ or by > contacting the ROD and obtain a copy from them. 3. Another question on the Lane marriages... Did Martha Wood marry Abraham S. Lane on the same date , Aug. 7, 1780, that Alexander Lane married a Martha Wood in Duplin county? Or is there a marriage record out there somewhere that will prove that Alexander or Abraham Lane married Mary Quinn or some other Mary during this same time period? I know stranger thins have happened but this is a real need to know question. Was there two Martha Woods in Duplin County during this time period? Thanks again, Emma
