Dear Jim, I am very interested in your info on the Faucette Mill area. My husband's family the Scarletts married the Faucetts after they all moved to Indiana in the early to mid 1800's. Before that they all lived in old Orange County. We live in Idaho and it's hard to get back to N.C. with enough time to research the area, but last time we were there (2005) we found quite a few Faucetts in Union Ridge Cemetery near Graham which is near Haw River. In the old will of William Faucett of 1815 his land is described as near a "wagon road leading to the Great Road". We tried to figure out where this was located. Can you tell me where the Faucette Mill was?
