It seems that I am doing nothing but writing the list to say that there have been changes in our meeting place for the D-OGS Computer SIG. It's happened again for December, as our preferred date would conflict with the CH Library's book sale, so we have made a change of date, but we DO have the room, so I'd like to try to keep moving forward, despite the obstacles. We will meet on the 15th of December. Besides the usual new and interesting sites to share and articles to discuss, I'd like to suggest something new to see if it is useful for us. When you come, have in mind an ancestor you would like to do some online searching on, and we will put our heads together to use all the tools we know about to compile some information for you. It's the "thousand monkeys and a thousand [sic] computers" theory. Together we probably have a lot of resources that we don't have at our fingertips individually. Bring a name, birth and death dates, locations, any identifying information that will help us search. Please send in interesting new web sites, and other items you'd like to share with the group well ahead of time so I can include them on the agenda. Thanks.
