Hi John, The theory goes that all of the Bledsoes in America descend from one individual, George Pletsoe, who emigrated from England circa 1652. Don't know if that is still considered accurate or not, but Banks McLaurin, Jr. did an extensive study on this family and self published his three books. They are large soft-covered, spiral-bound volumes, copyrighted 1993 (at least the first two volumes are). I personally own Volumes I and II, having purchased them from Mr. McLaurin years ago. His address at that time was 3843 Royal Crest Drive, Dallas, Texas 75230. I would be happy to let you have a look at them. I also believe, however, that the NC Archives has the complete set. I'm not positive about that, but I think I originally discovered them there. In the intro to volume one, Mr, McLaurin describes how he traced his ancestry on this line back to Wake Co, NC, in the late 1700's.
