Johns who was b. in Durham in 1911.  We lived in Chapel Hill as was my mother's neck of the woods since it's erection. In the Tiller Shipp line we are from Candace Dicken Anias Meekin Shipp, WHEW, the baby girl.  She m. John Bunyan Johns from Campbell Co., VA to Wake Co., NC in 1818, first at Crabtree Creek area, had a lead mine, then to Auburn where grew cotton, d. at Civil War period but not due to the war. My maiden name is Johns. When you say Nancy Belvin do you mean the Nancy Belvin who married Tiller Ship or another one? What are the dates involved? I cannot get beyond Robert Belvin who married Priscilla Bledsoe . He died in 1782 and she is listed in the 1790 census with 3 slaves. I have worked on this lines for 30 years. There are some Belvin's in Virginia but I have not been able to connect them.
