I had someone get a hold of a credit card number and change the address to Portland Oregon. When they were not able to supply my mother's maiden name, the account was blocked without damage. The information about dob and mother's birth name is too readily available, so I want to be more defensive. Four suggestions. Create a new Mother's Maiden Name. And or: set up a password on the credit card (this is not the internet access password). Set up the card so that there can be no new cardholders added Set up the account so that the address cannot be changed. Maybe you are way ahead of me, but just a thought.
