    1. Re: [NCDOGS] Information Preservation
    2. The Perkins & Bostock library buildings (together, the main Duke University library) are directly across the quad from the two buildings where the lectures are scheduled. The parking/bus suggestions I posted before would apply as would the suggestion by Carol of the parking garage behind the Bryant Center. (I *think* it's *usually* open to the public.) An express bus normally runs from Chapel Hill (the Morehead Planetarium) to Duke (the main bus stop next to Perkins and the two buildings where the lectures are scheduled) each half hour on weekdays and hourly on weekends. See www.robertsonscholars.org/index.php?type=static&source=68 for details. I'm not sure how well the schedule coincides with the lectures, but it would be easy enough to make good use of any extra time in the library. I've found all sorts of invaluable genealogical research material there. The Duke Divinity Library--in the building between the Chapel and Perkins--has also been helpful. Another note... If it's a night, weekend, semester break, or other slow time, you can try parking in front of Duke Chapel before looking for paid parking further from Perkins Library. Sometimes it's blocked off; sometimes it isn't. They would be a reasonable walk from the public parking garage at http://maps.duke.edu/parking/40. Alternatively, the free "East-West" campus bus could be taken from free parking available elsewhere on campus. The bus stops in front of Duke Chapel adjacent to the Allen Building--maybe a half minute walk from the Social Sciences Building. I was just looking at it and thinking that I'm not sure how long Jonathan Zittrainwill will be talking on Wednesday, the 3rd. That's the night of the D-OGS meeting, I suppose there would be time to do both, what do you think? I don't know where the building is, or where parking would be found either. Got to do my homework before then so I can decide. There is no conflict with the talk on Monday the 22nd though. I think both Ruth Stanton and Ginny may be interested in going too. Carol
