I received a request from someone in Florida looking for the marriage record of Joseph Watson and Julia Ware in Durham Co., Sept 1886. He said he saw the record at the Durham courthouse many years ago, but did not make a copy of it and is now looking for a volunteer to copy and mail it to him. I checked ancestry.com, but of the two NC Marriage databases they have, (1) North Carolina Marriage Collection, 1741-2004 - contains Durham Co but does not go back that far and (2) North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868 - does not contain Durham Co - none of them contain this marriage record. The Register of deeds only has marriage certificates starting from 1897, so I believe this marriage is on film at the NC State Archives. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to pull the film and copy and mail this record to this gentleman? If so, please let me know and I will send you contact details. Thanks Ginger
