A recent article in the Chapel Hill Paper (July 7) noted that the Hillsborough Historic District Commission and Mayor Tom Stevens presented the 2010 Preservation Awards to Elizabeth Read the executive director of the Alliance for Historic Hillsborough for leadership in preservation, and Architect Fred Stewart for excellence in compatible design. Elizabeth is a member of the NC Room Task Force that D-OGS initiated to preserve the NC Room at the Orange County Public Library. I have a scan of the article if anyone wishes to see it.
