I found in the 1880 Census Gaston Co. Stone, Absolom age 31 Mary - 21 wife George - 4 son Annie - 2 dau. Robert- 16 months, son Thomas- 14 nephew In 1900 Gaston Co. Stone, Absolom- age 62 born Jan. 1838 head Annie 29 born June 1870 dau. can't read name 19 born May 1881 son can't read name 16 born Aug. 1884 dau. Thomas 15 born Mar. 1885 son Henry 14 born Nov. 1886 son Daniel 10 born Dec. 1889 son Sudie 9 born May 1891 dau. Edna 7 born May 1893 dau. Sam 3 born June 1897 grandson Charles 1 born May 1899 grandson It doesn't state who the grandchildren are by. In 1910 Gaston Co. I found Daniel listed as a boarder age 20 with a Smith family. (Just so you know, the census takers were always off 1 to 3 years or more on the ages.) I have found it many of times in the records the ages differing. 1920 Gaston Co. Stone, Thomas age 36 Addie age 36 wife Eugene- 13 son can't read name 9 son Arnold 4 son next door is Stone, Daniel age 38 Mamie age 34 wife Clyde age 4 son Ruby age 2 dau. Claude age 3 months- son 1930 Gaston Co. Stone Dan head Mamie wife age 40 Clyde son age 14 Ruby dau. age 12 Hazel dau. age 8 Lawrence son age 6 Joe age 4 (says dau. says female) Please let me know if this helps in any way......Shelia
