Dougan, Elisha Hedgecock was the son of John and Keziah Delphine Welch Hitchcock. He married Elizabeth Idol daughter of Barnett Idol. Elisha and his sister Susannah were killed in an wagon accident and were buried in an old Hedgecock Family Cemetery. Elizabeth Idol Hedgecock later married Martin Glasscock and had issue. This is spelled out in detail in my book THE HITCHCOCK HEDGECOCK HEDGCOCK FAMILY IN MARYLAND AND NORTH CAROLINA and Their Descendants (hardbound, 491 pages with an every name index).
