Margaret married Joseph HEPLER (b. 27 Sep 1798 in NC) on 26 Apr 1821 at Rowan Co., NC (present day Davidson County, North Carolina). Does anyone know who the parents of Joseph HEPLER were? I don't know the death dates or burial location of Margaret GRIMES HEPLER and JOSEPH HEPLER. Does anyone know? In 1850 the parents (Margaret and Joseph) and five known children were living at the Southern Division, Family 197, Davidson County, North Carolina. In 1860 the parents, and daughters Eve and Phebe were living at the Southern Division, Family 198, Davidson County, NC. In 1870 the parents were living alone at Conrad Hill Township, Family #92, Davidson County, North Carolina. I can't find them on the 1880 Davidson County census. The five known children are: 1. Barbara HEPLER (14 Sep 1821 - 24 Mar 1875) married William Cook CARTER on 21 Feb 1855 at Davidson Co., NC. In 1860 Barbara (age 38), husband William Cook CARTER (age 30), and children Margaret Catherine (1857-1939) and Joseph David (1859-1941) were living at the Southern Division, Family #14, Davidson County, North Carolina. In 1870 the widow Barbara (age 48), son Joseph (age 10) and daughter Ester (21 Apr 1862 - 23 Mar 1875) were living at Conrad Hill Township, Family #93, Davidson County, North Carolina. William CARTER fought in the Civil War and never returned. Barbara and her daughter Ester are buried at the Emanuel United Church of Christ Cemetery near Thomasville, Davidson Co., NC. 2. Eve HEPLER (1823-???), nothing known 3. Alexander J. Grimes HEPLER (14 Sep 1826 - 17 Oct 1897) married Triphena E. CONRAD on 22 Jul 1859 at Davidson Co., NC. Alexander is buried at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery at Davidson Co., NC. In 1860 the Alexander G. was living at the Southern Division, Family 181, Davidson County, NC with wife Triphenia (age 24), William E. Conrad (age 5), and Mary J. HEPLER (age 2 months). I can't find the son Alexander in the 1870 census. 4. Sarah M. HEPLER (1834-???), nothing known 5. Phoebe HEPLER (1840-???), nothing known Does anyone have any information on this family to trade?
