My ggrandfather John / James M. Ireland of the 2nd. Ky. Cav. was camped in Lexington, Davidson Co. N.C. when the war was over, in June 1865 and he started courting a lady named Katie Ingram. This information comes from a diary he kept during the war. Just wondering if there is any relatives or information on this lady?
