Posted on: Davidson County, NCGenWeb Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NC/Davidson/1552 Surname: Sappenfield, Grimes ------------------------- In the letter Stephanie Harrison posted in the archives to Jacob Byerly from Mathias Sappenfield dated April 6, 1854 is the following "I want you to go the recorders office and see what kind of a right that Everhards boys have got fer fathers old place and then rite and let me know what kind of a right they have got." My question is where would the land records for before 1854 be, in Rowan or Davidson County and is there anyone that does research for hire in the land records there? If so please email me! Mathias' parentage is questionable and a cousin and I think this may be the clue we need to find them. Thanks for any help--Kandi
