That was false, I do have him in 1860 with his wife in Northern Davidson County, North Carolina. The oldest child listed in that census is a John who is 8. The couple did not marry until October of 1852, so John must have just turned 8 at the time of the 1860 census. Sorry, for the goof! Sheila
