Phillip Sechrist was born in I believe Rowan county NC in 1790. He married Mary SULLIVAN on June 10 1815 in Rowan county NC. They migrated later to Morgan county IN. The spelling of the surname was changed from SECHRIST to SECREST about 1850. Although he seems to have the same place of origin and also migrated to the same place in Indiana as the other lines of Secrest in Rowan county NC, I cannot seem to make a connection to him through these lines. He is not listed as a son of any of them. Can anyone help on this?
