Just a tiny correction: the Romingers came to NC from Broad Bay, Maine, not from PA. You're right about the Rothrocks; they came from York Co. PA. Other York Co. families that made the same trek include EBERT, HOEHNS (Hanes), PFAFF, quite a few others. Looking at the next generation of KIMELs, however, of the spouses I can identify, I don't see any typical York County names.
