They moved from GA to New Roe, Allen County, KY and both died within 1 month of each other. This was a second marriage for Thomas, his first wife was Mary Jackson who died in GA, and they had 3 children and I was aware of Andrew. The children of Thomas & Sarah were: Columbus "Lum", James, John, my greatgrandfather was Charles S. and the youngest child was Alice Victoria. She was born in February 1870 and Sarah died mid-March 1870 and Thomas died April 16, 1870. I have photographed their graves at Smyrna Church in New Roe, KY. They have markers with their names and dates of birth and death. It is a beautiful place. Interesting note about Lum is that he made a musical instrument which was played by Cora Cline when she was a regular member of the Grand Ole Opry. The instrument is on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville with credit given to Lum Scott for making the instrument by han! d.

Here you can search your surname for whatever records are on the internet. Some take you to Ancestry.com, which means you might get a census name, but no information other that state and county. Still useful. www.genealogybuff.com has over 300 places to lookup your surnames and a lot of other information This seems to be for Canada and the U.S. and is worth exploring. Betty Pace

She married my gg Grandfather Lewis Smith Price b. 1831. He was found in 1850 married to Lucinda Plyer in Lancaster, SC. he was from Union Co., NC, maybe she was too. They were living with a family of Knights. Her father's name was John Henry Plyler from NC. They came to Alabama. I found Smith Price listed in the 1861 Blount County Confederate Census listing 3 boys and 1 daughter. Is this family listed in your book of the Plylers. I would like to find out who L. Smith Price's father was and more siblings of his. I know that Lucinda had eleven brothers and sisters. Elis S. Plyler came to Alabama and William B. Plyler that probably were John Henry's brothers. He had a child named Windfield Scott Plyler. I found these in the land grants and now have corresponded with Windfield's gg grandson who still lives in Walker Co., AL. If you have information on Smith Price, I would be so greatful to hear from ! you, Thanks in Advance, Linda
