    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Everhart, Hancock Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XSB.2ACE/12352.1 Message Board Post: Here's some info I found in census images...all Lexington, Davidson Co, NC. Joseph Hancock was a finisher for a furniture company. He and Lola had the following children: Ester b~1904, Mollie or Mattie b~1906, Leona b~1908, Hazel b~1913, and a son whose name I cannot read beginning with an L b~1919. In 1930, Hazel and son-in-law Grady Everhart b~1908 resided with them. I cannot locate the parents of either Joseph or Lola. I did notice throughout the 30 years, Joe's age gradually "changed" making him younger. The first image in 1910 shows him at 38, 1920-46, 1930-56 which means he was probably actually born in the 1870's rather than early 1880's. It was not uncommon during that time period to exaggerate/confuse/forget one's real birthdate. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
