Dear Davidson County subscribers: Thought I would pass this along to everyone who is researching family in Randolph County, NC. Randolph Community College (both Asheboro and Archdale campuses) and also Davidson Community College (Lexington, NC) are offering continuing education classes in genealogy. They begin the first week in September. Please check their catalogs for more details - time, dates and cost. If you do not have a catalog you can call: Asheboro at: 336-633-0267; Archdale at: 336-861-4241 or Davidson at: 336-249-8186. A new RootsWeb Mail List for Hardister/Hardester, etc., has been established, and I would like to invite those with an interest in this surname to join. It works the same way as the other lists--send a new email addressed to one {or both} of the following: [email protected] [mail mode] [email protected] [digest] Subject Line: leave blank Message: subscribe & send. My name is Belinda Rodgers and I will be the list manager. Please contact me if there are any questions at [email protected] . Further, a Resource Page and GenConnect Boards were also established for Hardister. I will be working on these this week connecting them to the mail list, etc. My interest in Hardister stems from my great-grandmother, Pallie Mae Hardister who married Abraham Styers in Davidson Co., NC, early 1900s. There is so much we do not know about her side of the family--so many questions we should have asked sooner. Belinda Rodgers Davidson Co., NC
