Posted on: Davidson County, NCGenWeb Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NC/Davidson/1660 Surname: Craver ------------------------- To the best of my knowledge the Jacob Craver, Sr. that you refer to is the son of Philip Craver of Rowan (now Davidson) County. Extensive knowledge of the Craver may be found on the website that Karen Craver Foy has on the "The Descendants of Andreas Graber". In addition you may obtain a copy of the will of Philip Craver from the North Carolina State Archives, as I recently did. The date on it is 1820, Rowan County, listed as WB-4,74( for Will Book - 4, page 74, again I think.) Anyway they have the original. Consulting my copy just now, it lists Jacob Craver as the third son. There were also daughters. The will was done in Lexington. Craver was an Anglized version of the German Graber, with an umblat over the "a". Catawba College is the repository of Moravian history in North Carolina. Hopefully, this should give you some leads. Also Philip Craver and his oldest son Michael Craver are listed in the original 1790 census. Beth Kalal, Coronado, CA

Posted on: Davidson County, NCGenWeb Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NC/Davidson/1659 Surname: Cole, Kinney ------------------------- I am also researching the Cole family on my great-grandmother's side. Her name was Lilly B. Cole Kinney (Lilly B. Cole = maiden name). She was born on June 2, 1874 and died on Nov 28, 1947. She is buried in the Lick Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Davidson County (Denton, NC). One J.W. Cole witnessed her marriage to John Alfred Kinney on April 28, 1897, at the home of P.N. Snider, Justice of the Peace. An Etta Coles also was a witness (not sure if the Coles is a misspelling of Cole). Don't know if this helps but would be glad to share the little info that I do have.
