All I know on my Susan Craver is that she was born in Pennsylvania. She was married to John Henry Kaericher. Their daughter, Laura Alice Kaericher born November 1, 1861, was married to Maurice Hamam Clodfelter. All of my Clodfelter line also came from Rowan/Davidson North Carolina and went on to West Salem, Edwards, IL. You can visit my site if you'd like to see more of my line. I have updated information that needs to be added though. Link: Susan's Family Roots URL: <http://www.geocities.com/tharproots/index.htm>

I'm a newbie Kimel researcher. Thank you.
I am looking for information on Philip Logan. Believe he was born in 1760 in Rowan Co. (now Iredell Co.). He was a Rev. War soldier in the 4th Regiment, North Carolina Line, in Capt. Temple Cole's Co. He served as a fife major (musician), period of service 4/24/1776 thru 11/10/1778, and fought in the battles of Brandywine and Germantown. In 1780 he was on the List of Capt. James Houston's Company - NC Rangers , 5/22/1780 - 6/22/1780 (Tours of Ramsours), per General Index Card #2078 - Philip Logen (Logan), Houston's NC Rangers. In 1781 Philip was in Capt. Davison district, tax 400 pounds 1782-1783, Rowan Co. taxables. Obtained Treasurers and Comptrollers papers from NC state archives. Am seeking any information about Philip that might connect him to my gr gr grandfather (Philip D. Logan, War of 1812 veteran). Have tried marriage records for all of NC and have obtained all the information available in the NC state archives but still have nothing that shows names of a spouse or children or siblings or parents. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. Arnold Logan in TX [email protected]
As far as I know that Thomas Briggs is the horizon of history for this line. And you should go to the Briggs archives or the Brown Co. IL archives and do some serious searching. I have two mysteries named Briggs: 1)Ethel Virginia, b 10 Mar 1905, at Montcalm, Mercer, WV, m 7 May 1924, Ernest Alonza Davidson, b 1902. Both buried Blue Ridge Cemetery, Prosperity, Raleigh Co., WV, near Beckley. ---2)Alice Briggs, age 18 per Mercer, WV marriage record, 20 Nov 1898, to Isaiah Hill, b 1878. Parents of Alice recorded as D.M. and M.E. Briggs. This is a first marriage for Isaiah, with no family member having mentioned it, in my presense, in my 69 years. Any info about any of these folks will be sincerely appreciated. I, also, have an original photo of Bertha, Snookums, and Lucy Briggs. However, I do not know the linkage between any of these ladies. Thank you. Searching for parents of Nicholas Thomas who was born in Md. around 1794. Nicholas married Mary Ann Morris in 1812 in Randolph Co. Nicholas had a sister named Jane, born in 1792 and a brother named Jeremiah, born in 1796. He may have had other brothers and sisters. Any Thomas families in Old Rowan County (now Davidson Co.), please contact me if you have any information or any ideas for how to find Nicholas' father and mother. There is a strong feeling among some researchers that his father is William Thomas, but we can find no proof. Mary Thomas
