Myrick. They resided in the Tyro Township area of Davidson Couty, NC. In some Davidson County Census records mailed to me by Jeanette Wilson of the Davidson County Library, states that an Aunt in Law lived with the Jordan Fishel Family. Catherine applied for a land grant in her own name in 1783. In 1786, the widow Richards is mentioned in deed records, and in 1787, 612 acres were granted to her. She is on the 1790 census living next to her son, Ulrich, Jr., and two dwellings away from her daughter and son-in-law, Enoch and Nancy Reece. No sign of Ulrich, and I've not found a trace of him during all that time period. I always assumed he died. Did he just leave the area? Can you tell me where Ulrich's death date came from? I just have to ask. I have a dead end with my gggm Nancy RICHARDS (1803? - Oct. 9, 1844) who married George LONGWORTH. Best guess so far is that she came from VA but she could have been here (seems that George came from VA.) I have them with 8 children born 1827-1844, including my ggf Edmund LONGWORTH (1842 - 1916). Thanks. This will help (with what I and Vernelle have)to work on "getting them in order..if possible!" My grandmother was Sally Fannie Barnes..daughter of Hiram Lindsey Barnes & Harriett N. Simerson. Her father was born in Davidson County April 4, 1839 and died Sept. 7, 1867. He was the first person buried in the Barnes cemetery. Harriett was born March 10, 1844 & dies Nov. 21, 1921. After Hiram's death Harriett married Wilson C. Grubb on Feb. 10, 1881. From this marriage a son, Sidney Farris was born on August 13, 1885. Vernelle married my 1st cousin, Kirby,Jr. we live about a mile apart on Hwy 150. My parents home in Davidson County was on Jubilee Rd.which becomes Simerson Rd. at the "fork in the road" just before getting to your parents homeplace which my cousin now owns & lives.My parents were Sam & Minnie who lived about 2 "city blocks" from your parents! Catherine Herrman (Harmon), their son Christian Richards, b. 1771, whose wife is said to be Elizabeth Tucker. Christian's known children: Elias Richards, b. 1797, m. Sarah Jones; Daniel Richards, b. 1803, m. Rachel Jones; Catherine Richards m. Phillip Jones in 1815. Do you have Richards ancestors, or any information about those named above? NC Marriage Bond Index shows that their marriage was around 18 July 1838 and issued in Davidson County. Isaac shows up on the 1850 and 1860 Census for Davidson County and then there is no more mention of them. I did find a listing for Isaac and Charity in Carroll County, VA (Fancy Gap Township) for 1870. Joshua Albertson, Mary Albertson and Luther B. Albertson show up the same year in the same township. They are not listed there at any other time. I beleive that they might be realted to my g-grandmother (Lula Mae Albertson), who's father was Luther Bethel Albertson and mother was Margaret Matilda (UNKNOWN). This family ultimately ended up on Mt. Airy, NC which is just a few miles over the border from Carroll County, VA. Any information would be greatly appreciated!! Yvonne
