Hubert passed away in the 1990s I believe. He worked from the local records and Bibles and the local courthouses as well. Some of what he has just isn't available elsewhere, and of course, some of the early things may not be totally correct. He hand wrote hundreds of pages and organized each family before he died. He had mostly Avon (Kinnekeet) and Buxton surnames. Not so much further north or down on Ocracoke.
