Joseph and Anne Austin witnessed the will of Thomas Holbrook in 1717 in Somerset Co., MD. There was a William Austin living there in 1728. There were also Austin's in Accomack Co., VA. Several northeastern NC lines came from that area, for example: Twiford, Aydlett, Melson, Scarborough just to name a few.
