    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: silkberry Surnames: Barrett, Scott, Ansell Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.northcarolina.counties.currituck/1449.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Jack - Thanks for your reply. Samuel P. Scott was my great great grandfather so my main interest is the Scott line. However, after his 1st wife, Julia died (have no record on exact date or where she is buried)he must have needed someone to help with the 3 youngest children (Lenora,Samuel, David) Did know that Samuel & David went to live with the Barrett family (Chloe & Thomas), but unclear if they were related. Lenora went to live with other relatives and shortly thereafter married. I know the 1880 census says they were related, but I think somewhere there must be more exact info. Samuel & Julia's 3 oldest children (Mary, Thomas, Henry)seemed to have disappeared and may have died.Wife #2, Sarah, would have been fairly young, and it appears Samuel P. Scott and Sarah Ansell were married 1872-1878 (when he died)Perhaps someone researching the Ansell line, especially on Knotts Island, may know of any children they may have had. 3. Hey, if anyone happens to know an Ansell family who lived at Knotts Island in the 1970s, I am looking for Terry Ansell with whom I graduated High School in 1976. I think he was going to Wake Forest for college. Any leads would be very appreciated!
