    2. Samuel is a given name in my Gregory line and they came out of NC and SC My dad and grandfather and many others had that given name.     3. I wonder if there is any connection to my great-great grandfather Samuel Gregory Garrett who was born in Camden Co, NC in 1827 and died in Camden Co Apr 1887. My grandfather (Samuel Bartlett Garrett) always said his grandmother was Mary Gregory but I have never found any proof of that.
