Bethia 4 Fanshaw, b. abt 1720, was the dau of Richard 3 Fanshaw. She married James Biggs, the son of Thomas Biggs and Mary Browne. She died after 1767, as she is named in her husband's 8 September 1767 Will. Richard 3 Fanshaw was born abt 1701 in (probably) Lower Norfolk Co. VA; died abt 1763 in Currituck Co. NC. His wife is unknown. His children were: THOMAS DAVIES (DAVIS) RICHARD SARAH m. MONCRIEF MARY m. BRIGHT BETHIA m. JAMES BIGGS TAMER m. KEATON KEZIAH m. MONCREF MARGARET Richard 3 Fanshaw's father was Thomas 2 Fanshaw, who was in Lower Norfolk Co. VA 1710 and moved to Currituck Co. NC by 1715. Thomas 2's wife was supposedly Sarah, but I have found nothing to support that. Thomas 2 was born abt 1668/9, and probably died bef. 1719. Children were: Thomas - first appears on Currituck Tithables 1715 John - d. 23 Jan 1720 - first appears on Currituck Tith.1715 Richard d. ca 1763 ((Will) - first appears on Currituck Tithables 1717 Henry - first appears on Currituck Tithables 1719 Moses ? d. ca 1760/1 (Will) Isaiah ?- Only one reference in 1718 Currituck records Betty ? - b. ca 1702 m. Thomas Morrisett Thomas 2 Fanshaw was the only child of Thomas 1 Fanshaw (b. abt 1635-1645) and Mary Horne (b. abt 1648). Mary Horne was the dau of Mary Yates and Thomas Horne of Norfolk Co. VA. This is very interesting. Do you know which Moncrief's Sarah and Keziah married. I would appreciate anything further you can add on the Moncrief's. Jean ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alison C.
