According to census records starting with 1880 Currituck he was born 1867. His Parents were Jerry born 1835 and Charlotte born 1838. here is what is on 1880 census Currituck County {Moyock TWP.} Jerry born 1835 Charlotte born 1838 Jeremiah born 1859 William born 1862 Charles L.born 1867 Benjamin born 1879 Walter born 1880 1900 Census Moyock Charles L. Oct.1868 his wife Georgia born March 1878 married 1895 there kids were. Willie T. born Feb.1896 Eva L. born Jan.1899 1910 Census Charles L. 37 Goldie 17 married 1909 Willie t. 1898 Eva L born 1899 Mary born 1903 Now i should let you know Goldie Ewell was daughter of Solomon Curl Ewell born Feb.15,1862 and Mary E. Davis she died Sept.11,1894. Knotts Island is about 3 miles long, 1 mile of it is in Virginia, Princess Anne County {Pungo Section }this is were Charles and Goldie were living in 1910. My Hill Billy relatives were there from 1728 until about 1900. 1920 Census Norfolk Charles born 1868 Goldie born 1893 Willie T. 1896 Charles 1911 George born 1913 Henry born 1918 1930 Census Norfolk Charles 1868 George 1916 If you note Goldie not with Charles in 1930. Eva L. born Jan 1899 was married to Andrew W. Maynard born 1895. he was born in Alabama as was two of his kids. Willie born 1913 and Andrew Jr.born 1925 not sure if these or Eva`s Kids. According have been able to make out this is. the dates don`t match up, but I think Willie T. and Thomas M. are same person, I seen Willie T. on every census but 1930 and is were I seen Thomas M. was married to Sydney.
