My grandfather Thomas Morecock Perkins, Sr. (born John Thomas Perkins) father was Charlie Lloyd Perkins b. 11-13-1873 in Currituck Co. NC (but his age seems to vary in different records) died 11-2-1909 in Oak Grove, VA. 1st spouse Georgia Pippett. Shed died and 6-1-1909 m. Goldie Ewell, father Slotman C. Ewell (living in 1909) mother Ellen, died bef. 1909. Res.Princess Anne Co., VA. Marriage to Goldie was in Knott's Island, Currituck Co., NC, in Fruitville. Charlie's parents were Jerry (Jeremiah) Perkins and Lydia Anne last name unknown. Charlie is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, VA. Goldie outlived him. They divorced and she remarried. Charlie's newspaper obit (Norfolk Virginia Pilot 7-3-1951 says he was a retired farmer and native of Moyock, NC, Baptist. Charlie's brothers were named George Washington Perkins, Willie T. of Dillwyn, Leonard, 3 daughters Mary, Gladys, and A. and Charles Lloyd Perkins, Jr. The Perkins boys have very distinctive light blue eyes, are about 6 ft. tall, black hair. I have two photos of Charlie. I see several Jeremiah Perkins in the censuses but can't make a firm connection to Charlie. I appreciate your checking into this for me.
