My grandfather grew up on Moyock. His name was Thomas Morecock Perkins (Sr.) but he was born John Thomas Perkins. His mother was Georgia Pippett. Thomas Morecock of Norfolk became his foster? father for a time and he was renamed. Morecock had some connection to the island, maybe just vacationing there to go fishing. I haven't been able to find out anything more than that. Anything you could tell me would be helpful.
